I’m Ryan, a high school student from Broomfield Colorado. When my mom had ostomy surgery last year, I had no idea what an ostomy was. I eventually learned how complex it was, and how difficult it must be for even an adult. I couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to be a child and have to have an ostomy. Thinking about this I decided that I want to help children cope with surgery and provide them some comfort along the way.
